Two new Gaming Tools on Osintly

A few weeks ago, in The Future of Osintly, we talked about Tools: standalone, single-purpose OSINT utilities that live inside Osintly instead of being scattered across separate one-off sites that require auth, certain account permissions.

Since then, we've shipped two of them for gaming platforms.

Epic Games and Xbox

epicgames.tools was the first. Search a username or account, get back what's publicly tied to it.

Xbox is the second one, and it's live now. Type in a Gamertag or XUID and get the full public profile: games, achievements, Game Pass status, clubs, recent play history, and linked accounts through Osintly's modules.

Both are free. Both are also available through the API, on every API plans.

Why gaming platforms

Gaming accounts are not the first place people think to look during an investigation, and that's exactly what makes them useful.

A Gamertag or Epic account is often tied to years of activity a person never thought about hiding. Who they play with. What they're into. Their playstyle. Clips they've posted, sometimes with a face, a voice, or a background visible in the background. None of that is designed to be private, but almost none of it gets checked either.

That gap is the whole point of a Tools section. These are not identity searches like pseudonym or email lookups, they need their own interface, built around what that specific platform actually exposes.

What's basic today, and what's next

Right now, each Tool works on its own. You run a search, you get a result, that's it.

That's going to change. The direction is for every Tool search to plug into the rest of Osintly, attached to a Project, cross-referenced with everything else you've found on a target, instead of living as an isolated lookup.

We're not there yet. We're building toward it.
